News Update

I have been accepted on a missions trip to Nicaragua! I will be going with Samaritan’s Purse’s Operation Christmas Child this coming summer. We will be handing out shoeboxes to children and presenting the gospel to them as well. All money that I earn from photography from now until July will be going towards funding this trip.

Also, my computer is acting up and I have not been able to upload new photographs to either Facebook, WordPress, or FineArtAmerica. I am hoping to have the problem fixed soon, but until then I will not be able to upload. I am still working in the background, though!

Psalm 19:1 NKJV

Psalm 19:1 NKJV

The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows His handiwork.

I added Psalm 19:1 to this photo that I took of geese sitting on a log. My mom requested to have this Scripture added and she will be gifting this photo to my Grandma.

What is Your Favourite Scripture?

The Bible is a wonderful book and filled to the brim with excellent messages and quotations. What is your favourite Scripture, or what are your favourite Scriptures?

For myself Ecclesiastes 7:13,14 has a special place in my heart.

Consider the work of God; for who can make straight what He has made crooked? In the day of prosperity be joyful, but in the day of adversity consider: surely God has appointed the one as well as the other, so that man can find out nothing that will come after him. Ecclesiastes 7:13,14

These verses remind me that life is full of ups and downs. We need to enjoy the good times, and we need to accept the bad times. We may never know why something bad has happened, or why life just isn’t going our way at times. I like to pair Ecclesiastes 7:13,14 with Romans 8:28.

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28

Never forget that though you may not understand your circumstance that if you love God it will all work out for good.

New Photography Gear Has Arrived

I ordered a new tripod with some of my Christmas money, and it arrived today. I am excited to try it out soon!

Next on my “to buy” list: new camera, a shutter control cable, and a mounted flash.

While taking pictures of people is not my strong point in photography I have had opportunities open up in this area. A family from church requested that I take their Christmas pictures, which turned out nicely. Also, a couple from church has requested that I take a picture of them and we will be in contact to arrange something in the near future.
